What is the Front Line leadership Program?
A Front Line leadership program develops the practical skills supervisors, team leads, and emerging managers need to guide people effectively every day. Lincoln Leadership Institute’s program emphasizes clear communication, decisive action, accountability, teamwork, resilience, and values-based judgment. Participants learn through facilitated, immersive experiences and historical case studies, then connect those lessons to the operational challenges their own teams face.
Who should attend a frontline leadership development program?
The program is well suited for new supervisors, team managers, high-potential employees, department leaders, and professionals preparing for broader people-leadership responsibilities. It also supports established frontline leaders who need to strengthen communication, decision-making, or team alignment. Organizations can enroll a small group in an open program or create a private experience for a cohesive internal cohort.
What leadership skills does the program develop?
Participants strengthen decisive leadership, strategic thinking, communication, teamwork, resilience, moral courage, and accountability. The curriculum focuses on leading with incomplete information, setting priorities when demands compete, communicating with clarity under pressure, and helping teams remain aligned through change. Participants leave with practical frameworks intended for immediate use in meetings, projects, and day-to-day people leadership.
How is this program different from classroom leadership training?
Rather than relying only on lectures or slides, Lincoln Leadership Institute uses immersive, experience-based learning at historic sites and through interactive virtual formats. Participants engage with consequential leadership scenarios, facilitated discussion, and applied exercises. This approach encourages leaders to examine how judgment, communication, and team coordination work under pressure, then translate those insights into actions for their own organizations.
Can the program be customized for our organization?
Yes. Private Team Experiences are designed for groups of 8 to 20 participants and can be fully customized around your organization’s challenges, values, and strategic priorities. Faculty collaborate with clients to create relevant case studies and exercises. For larger organizations, Enterprise Partnerships provide a multi-year, cohort-based model with customized content, executive coaching, and dedicated account support.
Are virtual frontline leadership programs available?
Yes. Lincoln Leadership Live delivers live, interactive leadership development remotely, allowing participants to join from any location. The virtual format combines facilitator-led instruction, historical leadership insights, discussion, and practical application. It is a useful option for distributed teams, organizations with travel constraints, or leaders who want an engaging development experience without attending an in-person program.
How long does a leadership development program take?
Program length depends on the format selected. The Gettysburg Leadership Journey is a 2.5-day immersive experience, while certain summits provide a concentrated one-day option. Enterprise Partnerships unfold over multiple years through structured cohorts, and custom programs can be scheduled by arrangement. Virtual and keynote formats may also be designed to fit specific organizational time requirements.
What is included with an in-person private team experience?
Private Team Experience fees include instruction and materials, typically two nights of accommodations, meals and refreshments, battlefield transportation, guest speaker presentations, individual coaching sessions, and post-program resources. Participants generally arrange only their travel to and from the program location. The Institute also offers flexible scheduling by arrangement and payment options for qualified organizations.
